If you want to build a stylish building that is going to win awards, then you definitely need an Architect to draw up the plans. If, on the other hand, you just want to install a WC downstairs, you need a building surveyor who specialises in this kind of work. Ask around - these people do not advertise - he probably works in the Town Hall during the day.

I have spent my life dealing in crappy buildings but if I came back I would like to change tack completely and just do stuff that is achingly stylish - and Norway is the place to go. You can make huge money too, with colossal margins if you can do "style" in a stylish way - see Apple for details.
